'There will only be one MM, he's unique'
MINISTER Mentor Lee Kuan Yew is 'unique' and there will only be one 'MM', said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Tuesday night.
'You can give him any title, but he is Mr Lee Kuan Yew, he's unique,' PM Lee said at an NUS ministerial forum held at the University Cultural Centre in Kent Ridge.
He was responding to a question from a Kazakhstan student from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, who had asked how MM Lee's role had contributed to the stability of Singapore, and if the Prime Minister might take on the title himself in the future.
PM Lee said he would not. As for MM Lee's contribution, he said: 'His international stature, his network, the weight of the words he says... MM is a precious resource.'
