SM Goh admitted into hospital for chicken pox

SINGAPORE: Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong has been admitted to the Singapore General Hospital for chicken pox.
The Prime Minister's Office says doctors decided to put Mr Goh in an isolation ward, because chicken pox is caused by the varicella zoster virus and can be transmitted through an airborne route.
The statement adds that the Senior Minister's condition is satisfactory and he is expected to be discharged in about a week.
