Local Woman Caught Having Two Husbands; Refuses To Divorce Either One Because Of Love
hype.my
While marriage can be one of the most beautiful things in life, it can also get pretty messy. We’ve heard plenty of stories of men cheating on their wives for another or secretly marrying another woman without the knowledge or consent of the first wife.
What if the roles were reversed? This local woman was recently caught marrying two men who had no idea of the other’s existence. Here’s what happened:
An Islamic lawyer named Shazril recently posted a video on TikTok sharing a case he settled between a woman and her two husbands. According to the video, the woman married her first husband in Siam, Thailand without her family’s knowledge or blessings. She then married her second husband in Malaysia where their relationship was approved by her family.
However, the two husbands were unaware of their wife’s actions and each other’s existence. To cover up her secret polyandrous marriage, it was said that the woman visits her first husband during the day with the excuse that she was going to work and return home at night to her second husband who lives with her family. The lawyer did not mention how the woman was eventually caught but when she did, she refused to divorce either one of her husbands as she loved them both equally.
“Doing something haram can be fun,” the lawyer said sarcastically. After posting the video, netizens were curious about how the story ended.
Many asked Shazril if the woman did end up divorcing one or both of her husbands to which he replied, “She went with her second husband as chosen by her father and divorced her first husband”.
The attorney was also asked if her marriage to both men were valid and permittable in Islam. According to him, both marriages were valid until proven otherwise. “If the first marriage is valid, then the second one must end,” he said.
For your information, a polyandrous marriage is also not permittable in Islam.
It is understood that everyone involved was ordered by the Religious Office to live separately during this case.
However, the woman still refused to let go of her husbands and continued to live with both of them. Even after the case is closed, we’re not entirely sure how her now-only husband feels about all this.
What do you think about this case?
