Firstly WW has always been a Singaporean. Not sure which idiot thought otherwise. Obviously he had to serve NS.

Secondly it has nothing to do with WW being nice, bad, holy, sinful, or any other adjectives. You guys need to pull your thumb out.

This is about inequitable justice that is currently being served. Why the double standards? One for FT, one for Singaporean. One for Singaporean who can afford good legal means and those who have rely on little or none.

If I or anyone else in this forum were in a similar situation, we would also do exactly what WW did and try and get away. For heaven's sake, it about speeding.

When TS started this thread, I thought it was tongue in cheek. Then I realised that he confused himself by thinking that this was about FT vs Singaporean and that WW was foreigner. It shows how blur we can be despite the information overload. How he was suspected to be an FT or siam NS is beyond me.

Lastly I am sure NSman who commit crime must be dealth with like any other. The issue with NS is that new Singaporeans are talking and acting as though they know Singapore and have served Singapore. We sacrificed 2 over years when theynhave not. Nothing to do with a fucking speeding offence.

Parliament time should not be wasted over this stupid issue!
Let the courts decide.
Whatever decision the court makes; accept it.

Whatever sentence the judge hands out is in his/her discretion.

Suddenly sinkies all become legal experts.

And the issue is really a non-issue.

So many things to clarify in parliament and WP chooses this silly non-issue!

Sinkies must learn to accept many things: for one, there is NO absolute equality on this earth. Things are never 100% fair or completely just.
Many people are born richer/smarter/taller/better looking/powerful etc...
Its not fair but thats the way it is.

As I've always said, most common folks Sinkie cannot be happy. They compare, from the living quarters they live, cars they drive, to the food they eat and even the type of W/C they shit into.

The whole thing has nothing to do whether this WW is an FT or Local. Neither if he is an Elite or Commoner. Even if he's a Local Commoner, should the judgement be felt "unjustifiable" in general, be it too light or too heavy, it will be bought up in any discussion among people. I have overheard people talking about it during kopitiam beer session. It's good to open it up and clear it once and for all.
