"If governments do not listen to the legitimate demands of their people, the people would have no option but to call for their downfall" - Hossain Mousavi (BBC, 28th Jan 2011)

Are you ready for change?

That may apply to countries in the Middle East but in the case of Singapore, all the demands have been illegitimate and to be blunt, outright ridiculous.

95% of Singaporeans are fat cats who are more worried about being able to afford the next iPhone rather than the next meal.

Singaporeans should stop their childish rants and compare their plight to that of the average Egyptian.

No high emplyment, no hungry family to feed, and no high inflation in Sinkieland, no need to call for change. Change handphone is enough.

I checked the per capita GDP of Egypt on wiki. It was about US$6500 and it had a GINI coeff of 34.5.

Not too bad for a developing nation...but these are just statistics...

Eygpt has a large rich-poor gap...i once heard a radio program (not mediacock but BBC) about a slum outside a large developmental project that is going to create a city within Cairo.

And this Mubarak chap...has been in sole power for 30 years?

I agree...count our blessings!

Any Tunisian anarchy here will mean the destruction of the whole island...We are lucky people here...so don't rock the boat unnecessarily.

How about 95% of Sinkies are worried that their flats will not be upgraded. This is the tactic used by PAPpies at every election. Tried and tested. Sinkies will swallow it hook, line and sinker. Bau chiak. Opposition better come up wth strategy to counter this dirty tactic.

This is not part of your reply> "95% of Singaporeans are fat cats who are more worried about being able to afford the next iPhone rather than the next meal."
