Read from a few forums that running actually causes the calves to grow bigger.
Is this true? what if i only jog once a week for around 2km??
and how abt walking up the stairs?

i heard that going gym is effective.. but does running on threadmill develops bigger calves? i been to aerobic classes at Amore before but it doesnt help my weight much. I think because i tend to eat more after a work out..

Generally, none of this is true. Calves are the muscles hardest to grow.
Either you have them through genetics or you don't. :D

most of the people i know who run and jog regularly, both men and women, have beautiful calves, esp those dainty ladies! well tone muscles and lanky legs...nice:)

It depends on the type of runs... power sprint definitely increases the calves size... but generally regular runners tend to have larger calves.
I used to run lots of 2.4km in my younger days... now i do mid distances like 7km... my average monthly mileage is 60km.
I am considered thin (70kg) but i can't wear slim or even straight fit jeans due to proportionately large calves.
