such a policy is that no one outside the GOS knows the
precise ethnic mix among immigrants, students and other

This bunch of Migrants will also be sucked into the Singapore Spirit and not get married and have off-springs Thus adding more elderly people into this society and Worst case senario is they wouldnt have anyone here to take care of them Thus having to have more Welfare given to them.. They dont seem to see the other side of the Coin. The issue here is the Social structure or Social Lifestyle of this Country. Singapore guys are still a Conservative bunch and to them "No Money, No Honey" The prefer to be the sole bread winner or to at least be able to afford a roof over their head(Wages have been stagnant and Housing and Food drastically) has increased and Singapore women are a materlistic Bunch with a 5C mind-set. The only one left are the Ugly ones or those in their late 30s.

Min-Wage.
Working Hours to be regulated.
Housing for 1st time buyers should be discounted further.
Programs etc. Commercials or Ads should be constantly blasted onto the Screen and Newspapers to Remind Single people(Show them what happens to be lonely in their 40s or 50s.. Something like scare tactic) and even set-up a National body to do Match-making.. Abit extreme but not as extreme as flooding this country with migrants.

In fact 5,000 - 8,000 Singaporeans leaving every year is grossly understated. These numbers were derived from the police conduct certificate requested by sinkies as a final step to their approval for a foriegn destination. To this number must be added all the children and minors who do not need a police certificate. Also, many sinkies simply end up living in another country for decades (while retaining their singaporean citizenships), have kids there, and contribute to the other country's economy. These people have in effect left for good, but not officially. My estimate is the true number is closer to 22,000 per year on average. I am truly not surprised if there are more than 500,000 singaporeans and their decendents living overseas on a permanently basis. Almost 20% of the native born population.

I have always said there is nothing wrong with the birth rate in singapore. Its not that much different from developed countries like japan, etc. What is different is that the birth rate cannot compensate for singaporeans who move overseas too.

Over the last 4 years the citizenship granted is around 50K - Birth rate a year. If U take 50K minus off the drop in birth rate minus number of new citizens then U get your number liao. I think I got the stat somewhere in this forum. Need to go look

OK I found some figures

SG needs 50K a year to sustain population. From previous research, SG government have been consistent about it since around 04, Birth rate and migration rate normally will keep around that 50K range.

2010 citizenship granted was 19K
Birthrate was around 37K
Difference = 50K - 37K - 19K = -6K
So around 6K run road from in 2010

This are obviously just rough estimates and not accurate.
