There must be liberal use of lard and big fire for the wok-hei. The hawkers here don’t have experience and gusto to do this.

KL Hokkien Mee using charcoal here in Sinkiestan? Haven’t heard before.

Hokkien Prawn Noodles using charcoal, only SweeGuan at Lor29 does that now. Even the late Alex uses gas and charcoal mix.
 
so much work, time, fuel, fire and wok hei for crap. jiuhu hokkien mee is shit. too much blackish sauce. overwhelms everything.
