She pays $570 got modelling portfolio, but agency does not offer any jobs

She had approached the modelling agency to help her get jobs, but was told she had to pay for her own photo portfolio.

So Jacqueline Choy, 16, splurged $570 on a photo package provided by Create Talents, the modelling agency.

But she claimed that for more than a year, the agency did not get her any modelling assignments.

She is one of the 53 people who have approached the Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) to give feedback or make enquiries about modelling agencies since 2007.

Though Jacqueline was notified of three jobs, she said she was not shortlisted for any of them.

Ms Florence Ang, general manager of Create Talents, told The New Paper that Jacqueline had been proposed for various jobs.

"We will continue to represent her as a freelance model and continue our attempts to get jobs for her since it's in the agency's interest to do so," she said.

You have to wait behind the PRC's, Indians (from India),Filipinos,and Burmese.
