In order for herd immunity to kick in and hopefully rid the world of COVID19 in the same way smallpox was eradicated, you need about 80% of the world's population being vaccinated. There needs to be a campaign to do this.

You can see from the thinking of the small-minded, backward-thinking folks that exist in this forum why this is a huge challenge. It is not easy for morons to even understand the need for vaccines to protect them from the disease and prevent them from dying, let alone the difference between the vaccines. To them, all vaccines are poison and the government is trying to end their unworthy lives. And what's worse, they spread unfounded rumours and misinformation to scare others, preventing them from protecting themselves.

However my concern for mRNA "vaccine" technology is not based on pseudo-scientific quackery. Gene therapy application is still in experimental phase and the risk of global deployment is questionable on multiple levels
