generally, not all people are nice in any specific place.....so its hard to ask if people are nice in a certain place...one person's experience might differ from another too.....even in sg, u have really nice pple too....In Paris, if u cant speak French, it be hard to commonicate with the Parisians, but of coz at tourist attractions the staff can speak simple english with u...but being real nice like GEMS... Haven seen any...as for HK, if u cant speak cantonese, u tend to get a different treatment esp if they thought u r PRC... but its all complicated and sometimes political..but I am sure there r nice pple in HK also..as for Tokyo..i would reckon pple have nice upbringing due to japanese culture and the pple are nice and then again..I am sure they have screwed up and rude ass too...teen punks??? There is just no stereotype of people from any cities being nice entirely...just not possible..its humans not robots..

Actually all place have nice people if we behave nicely and ask politely to almost anyone. Only small % not so nice. But in Singapore % of nice people are less a bit in percentage if you compare to Thai/Malaysia/HK/Japan.
Maybe because too many FT/stress by goverment system make Singaporean behave more selfish.
In Taiwan when I ask for the direction in shopping centre for the place in Taipei which I not know where is it. A man and a lady whose is a sale assiatant explain to me and then even help me flag for the TAXI and told the TAXI driver the location. So does in HK the passer advice me take TAXI and roughly how much is the fare. In Singapore even if the people ask me how much is the fare I also ??? because thare are many hidden cost like ERP/peak hour/CBD.........how can I tell then the roughly fare??????
In Singapore we have too many FT and they may not really know the place and how to go there. This is one of the problem where tourist may think they are local when they ask for the direction or advice. The FT may said don't know that will have bad impression on the tourist.

Sporn fucks are pretty uncivilized and rude here compared to Japanese and Westerners, but you cannot always blame the government for their barbaric people. They must look into themselves and correct their mistakes and diseased social habits.
Also these fucks are barbaric because they chose to, and they wanted to. No. They learn, and they enjoy life as well, with salsa, soccer and all, and they do not let these petty economic factors give them the incentive to be rude to strangers and tourists.

Haha they must look like pigs to the French. But the French are a starvation endurance race on the other hand (other than the fact they don't bathe very often too). Look at their silly weird cuisine too. It's often a more to look at than to eat piecemeal kind of thing on the table.
I don't really agree with that. I would think the local Sinkies, out of a combination of unwillingness to help and ignorance, would also give foreigners that impression.
