Application for the 2010 Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship will commence on 9 November 2009 and close on 9 December 2009.
General
<HR>
The Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship is synonymous with both prestige and a willingness to serve Singapore. It marks Singapore's continuous effort to recognise outstanding individuals with the aptitude and inclination to contribute to our society.
With generous contributions from the public, the Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship Fund was set up in 1991 in honour of Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.

Level and Fields of Study <HR>Scholars can pursue either Master's or PhD programmes at local or overseas universities. There is no restriction on the course of study.
Applicants should individually make private arrangements to sit for the pre-admission tests such as GRE, TOEFL or GMAT.
Eligibility <HR>The scholarship is highly selective. Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
Terms and Conditions <HR>Besides receiving a one-off sum of S$10,000, successful applicants will be given an annual allowance. For the annual allowance portion, the private sector awardees will receive S$50,000. Those from the public sector will receive S$10,000. This Scholarship does not carry any bond.

Shortlisted applicants may be requested to sit for psychometric assessment tests in December 2009/January 2010.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by February 2010.

- Singapore Citizen with outstanding academic records (at least a Second Class Upper Honours Degree); and
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and be active in social, community services or sports.
