morale of the average urban malaysian is at an all time low after losing the last election. The urban middle class are subsequently punished by the introduction of gst, which will not even touch the rural guys significantly as most food items will be exempted.
The fate of the country now lies with the politicians of sabah and sarawak. They can, if they want, form their own coalition away from either BN or the anwar led opposition. That means the winner from now on, will always be a minority government if this happens.

On the other hand, sinkies are on the roll presently. All the big deals and news coming non stop. 2nd biggest gambling hub, energy trading hub, shipping hub, education hub.........

The politicians from Sabah and Sarawak and notorious flip floppers... Expect them to sway where the wind blows..

Msia government has something really good that Spore government should learn...they have foreigner quota of 20 or 30% for most housing estates, this will help prevent foreigners from becoming the majority like what is happening in Spore.

our initial policies were aimed at making it easier for new immigrants to settle into singapore. now that we're approaching critical mass, its time to relook those policies.

a quota on foreigners sounds like a good idea, but i think its even better to remove ALL quotas including the racial ones. some recent study showed that chinese don't really have non-chinese friends. the success or futility of the racial quotas should be looked into, and removed if need be.

Sure or not?

Sure, although certain developers managed to apply to increase or exempt from the quota, but generally the 20% or 30% foreigner quota (for landed, 50% for condo) is applied in new developments being sold. There are a few that I visited and the sales person will tell you foreigner quota met and cannot sell to foreigners anymore.
