In such a case, is HCH considered LHL's brother in law, or is he HC's brother in law and is the brother in law of LHL's wife?

Excellent post. You can see his line of reasoning in his books where he convinces himself and others that his interpretation of things are right even if they are fundamentally flawed. I recall where he claimed that those in wealth have the most to lose and therefore are more responsible when it comes to governance. He then went on to mutter that the UK had the House of Lords and we did not. Its was the same principle that he used to justify the seizure of the press and the holding of the shares by the local banks.

On the contrary, a very significant individual. His hobby is history, the museum, the national archives, oral history etc. Can see on Sundays various parts of Singapore in shorts looking out for things of historical value. Quite a character. And that is not his real job, cover job. His real job was/is highly significant and sensitive. Probably the sanest individual in the whole family.
