Hello there,

I am a retiree who has worked both in the civil service and later in the corporate world.

Nearly 2 years ago, I submitted an article to TR with clear evidence of abuse and possible corruption and materials supporting that evidence. It involved a chairman of a CCC and the abuse involving tenders. Suspecting something amiss, I sent another piece that was full of conjecture and a series of opinions which were derogatory of the PAP. This was published. I realised that they prefer shallow articles and tried to fit future articles along these lines. At that time, it appeared that they were not as brave and safe as they claimed. They feared shut down was quite obvious.

Just before the GE, I forwarded another solid article on family connections of PAP that was not known with clear evidence again. Again nothing.

In fact the submissions by the ex-ISD chief is all opinions. No facts. I understand that he resides in Singapore so the fear of breaching the OSA is real and his detention would be imminent. I am sure he is using TRE to vent his personal frustrations in view of the low pension offered then.

I also noticed many articles appearing in TRE having signs of outright plagiarism. Entire sentences and paragraphs have been lifted from previous submissions of mine and I suspect from others as well.

Come to think of it, TRE has never ever revealed anything. It's seems to sensationalise petty and trivial matters that has already surfaced in the press or elsewhere. They are always asking for donations. I am wondering if it is a scam or couple of individuals living of people's frustrations and disdain for the PAP. They carry lots of adverts yet keep asking for donations.

I stumbled on this forum because someone mentioned this in the comments column of TRE. I have already realised that more genuine information appears here first.

Anyone care to share their thoughts on TRE.

I have submitted articles to TR which they have not published. Also, in the past, they have asked me to change my nick before they would allow me to post, because my nick was too inflamatory to the PAP. I refused to do so, and they never published my article. Later on, i find that they allowed someone with a very similar nick to mine to publish. This chap had a more conciliatory tone towards the PAP, and I suspect that they allowed him this nick because of this. Read what u want into it. I think TR is a waste of time on many levels.

There is nothing to stop you from posting your articles of "clear evidence", "solid", etc etc...

Let's see if your real reason here is just about TR or is it about your proclaimed good articles.

Thank you for your comments. I have received 2 pms both with similar messages and one with much detail. It now makes sense. In view of the coherent messages I received, I shared a portion of the first article. It turns out that it is a small world as one member is an active participant here and we both have worked in similar circles. It appears that my article which I only sent to TR found it's way in government's hand. I was sent the remaining portion of my article.

It does explain why TR has never revealed anything original.

You perform Pap smear for woman?

A Pap smear can detect the precancerous stage of cervical cancer when the abnormal cells (dysplasia) are in the outer layer of the cervix and have not spread to the deeper tissues.
During a Pap smear, the doctor gently brushes cells from the narrow neck of the cervix and sends the sample to the laboratory for further examination of any changes in the cervix.

Actually, I find these people at TRE are a bunch of clowns.

On the same day, I sent the article in Word form to this chap, Richard Wan.

Three days later, they publish an article on this Archbishop saga by one Leong Sze Hian and it was really crap. Nothing but ABC rojak, which you can view here: http://www.tremeritus.com/2012/09/25/the-abc-of-writing-and-retracting-a-letter-uniquely-singapore/

This ABC rojak from Leong stated nothing new and is a no-brainer to write - just substitute real persons names with alphabets. It is basically a "no analysis" description of the sequence of events.

More than one week after my original submission and after many chasers, this Richard Wan clown finally replies to say that the topic is under the charge of another ed and that ed "feels that enough has been said" about this topic. What the FUCK! If you don't dare to publish it at least have the balls to say it rather than play taichi like some bloody government departments.

Fortunately, a few days earlier, I had also submitted the article to "Yawning Bread", whose founder, readers may recall, is the originator of the saga by publishing an article on his blog about the retraction of the Archbishop's 1st letter. Yawning Bread was really nice and efficient and my article was published with credit to guest writer "Rumpole" within two days of submission. This Richard Wan guy is always asking me to tone this or that down. I think he is really afraid now that his identity is known. Hey, but Alex Au has enough guts to publish my article unabridged and the authorities certainly have his full name, NRIC, address and are also monitoring his site!

TRE even once deleted my reply to another thread because I provided the link to a Youtube video featuring Tah Wah Piow's speech on abolishing the ISA. Hello, that Youtube video is available to everyone on the web and has already been posted by me on Sammyboy and has more than 1,000 views! Really daft! :*:

Anyway, it would be nice if others with similar experiences can share them or provide further background on these clowns at TRE.

The Dr Joseph Ong (Super Big Clown in my humble opinion) is no longer at TRE. It is BELIEVED AND RUMOURED that he runs the Temasek Review Facebook page, in addition to being one of the editors at temasek wordpress. Whether it is true or not.. no one knows except him and the people at Temasek Wordpress..

Please don't get them confused with the current TRE, where Richard Wan is one of the editors..

If you think TRE is substandard.. you should see the level of "shit" coming from TR Facebook & Temasek Wordpress.. TRE is wayyyy better in my humble opinion

Such things if evidence not good enough, they will sue until you lose home, lose every cent in your bank account. You expect others to take the risk for your revelation. When you send to them did you identify yourself so they can verify the proof? If you're so scared to reveal yourself, it means you're not even confident yourself to stand out, then how can you expect others to expose wrong doing for you!
