Hey ! I like the Night Race here. Malaysia should have thought of that when this tropical weather is going to be a blazing sauna for these drivers. How long will this once a year event last ?

Like the senate from the movie Gladiator said, "Give them death, and they will all love him for it !"

Those buggers who compraint about F1: Go get a life!!!

Face it. Get a life. F1 is crap. Nobody's interested. Those hotels reporting high room rates, ask them about occupancy rates. There isn't even traffic jams around F1 routes anymore. People just ignore and sideskirt it.

Guess you're quite deprived. In the real world in CBD, it does spark interest. People pay top $$ for the tickets. People crowd the bars watching the big screens (with ah bengs complaining about wanting their premier league instead of the F1 showing).

Gov wasting hundred of million each year to have F1 in Singapore. Those retail shop, F&B really hate the F1 because of the road closure also those work nearby the area. Lost so much money and create problem to peasant.
Those whose benefit is F1 organiser, F1 consultant, lighting company..................
loser are tax payer and those effected by the event.

Check the dictionary for the difference between deprived and disinterested. Improve your English first. Second, after you've improved your English, you''d realise that I'm in the majority. Third, watching BPL is for fun just as F1 and everybody likes some fun sometimes, but F1 is simply no match and can't make it. It can't even create a traffic jam anymore even by blockading roads. Everybody just avoid the roads. Hotel occupancy is down in the dumps except for those damn bent on depleting their corporate expense accounts. For you, not only get a life, get real.

Besides the fat angmos connected with the F1 and the SCUMS In WHITE for boasting; what benifits?

Heard they are losing big money and wanted to cancel since last year.

Should not these millions be used to help the POOR in Chin Swee Road?

Then what the fuck are you doing typing in this forum instead of going out to the street to do something.

No wonder people like you get screwed by your govt daily.. Pathetic useless sinkie...

Last year, the F1 Night Race pulled in incremental tourism receipts of $160 million. This year the Singapore Tourism Board expects only $100 million. Gold is already losing its lustre amidst the uncertainty plaguing the global economy, with all signs pointing at 2012 as a possible annus horribilis. It is a no brainer that Second Minister for Trade and Industry S Iswaran said Singapore will not rush into a decision to extend the F1 contract for another 5 years. Somewhere hidden in the overdue accounting is the loss in retail revenue due to the Marina Bay area road closures, and opportunity cost of business interruption and traffic congestion. It's time they stop hearing only the good stuff, especially from the ones who really profit from the exercise.

Let me put it in clearer terms. A majority of those who matter are interested. A majority of those of don't ... well ...
