during the construction of genting H casinos, lim boo tong engaged geomancer to lay a matrix of fengshui that would prosper genting and thus himself.

read an chinese article b4 that the flooring under the carpets were already hexed with spirits or little ghosts to jinx most gamblers. when one is in the casino, money doesn't seem to of value and hence it would be easily and foolishly gambled away. only when one leaves the place, then he would realise he has lost alot. some have been driven in such desperation and contemplate suicide. by doing so, he dies a grievous death and his soul is believed to be unrest and hence the haunting begins.

it is believed that the anguish ghost would look for one very suay chap, probably possess him and cause his early demise by suicide - the same way that happened to the ghost when he was alive.

how true this can be, no one could prove or disprove it until the incumbent himself face such uncanny eerie situation.

There are ghost everywhere and they exist sometimes the world is stranger than you think and not all is seen by the eyes to be scientifically proven to exist....

But honestly they are more afraid to be seen by humans

why some see ghost and some never, it all boil down to their crossing path or "affinity" in their past lives with some unresolved issues. this is according to the buddhist theory. true or not, up to one to believe.

this may sound lame to many but u won't lose anything by trying. according my li'l holeey brother LTS, if u enter a room in genting or any other rooms or buildings and u feel a chill, it's probably something unseen is lurking inside there. what to do? u ve to go in and maybe even sleep inside there if it's a hotel room.

well, here goes....

according to LTS, chant this buddhist mantra:

gate gate paragate,
parasamgate bodhi svha

read as: ga teh ga teh paragateh
parasamgateh bohee soha X 3

this mantra is suppose to open up a "light" so that the lost spirit would be guided towards it and hence refrain it from bothering u. in another words, it has transmigrated to the next realm. no more haunting. sleep in peace.

again, true or not, up to u.

i went genting once with friend who got 3rd eye.

he said lots of entities there, but not so much because of suicides.
more because punters brought along 'assistance' to help them win, and genting counter with their own spirits. result is lots of disturbance to ordinary folks.

shit! i forgot to add.

u ve to remain calm and not feel frighten or intimidated by its presence. chant the mantra with diligence and compassion that meant well for the spirit. when u mean goodness for it; in return it would reciprocate with goodness and leave u alone to transmigrate.

who knows, maybe after the ordeal, u might win jackpot in the casino with the blessing from that helped spirit.

another way to tell whether a room is "clean" or not is to bring with u a small magnetic compass. if the dial keeps rotating when u enter a room, better scramp out asap. it's haunted!

Myth: Magnetic compasses always point north.

There are two situations in which a magnetic compass may not be pointing to true north. Learning about these limitations will enable you to adjust your calculations and find north.

Since a compass depends on a magnetic element for accuracy, other outside magnetic fields or metals will alter the results and askew the compass arrow. If you place your compass and map on the hood of your car and try to calculate your direction, you are liable to be wrong. The metal in your hood will affect the compass reading. Try to place your map on a wooden surface or simply on the ground. Even nearby metal trash cans or metal picnic table legs may alter the results.

I've had a strange experience at Genting Highland when I was a kid. I remember it was 1990, year of the horse, because one restaurant served drinks in mugs shaped like a horse to commemorate the year.

This was before the construction of the new hotel(s) and the theme park. There were only three prominent hotels: Genting Hotel, Highlands Hotel, Resort Hotel, in descending order of room price. We stayed at Highlands Hotel. Genting Hotel was the biggest hotel and was where the auditorium and casino were located.

I don't know if it was due to an absence of global warming back then, or that there was more forestation, but it was much colder back then. When it was about to rain, the clouds and mist would envelope everything and you couldn't see a damn thing. There was a large revolving door in Genting Hotel's main entrance, and the mist would come rushing into the lobby whenever someone pushed the door.

One day I explored the hotel and surroundings without my parents (they were gambling). I made my way to the lobby of Genting Hotel and watched people walk in and out of the revolving door.

Suddenly I saw a well-dressed lady, wearing some pastel-color posh-looking dress, one hand on the door handle and preparing to push the revolving door to exit the hotel lobby. She turned slowly to me and smiled. Then, she went through the revolving door.

Out of curiosity, I followed her outside. She was nowhere to be found. She just vanished into the thick mist.

scientifically, the unseen, undead and unrested are forms derived from electromagnetic field. if u ve a compass in their presence, the dial of the compass would go haywire and keeps spinning in circles.

my li'l holeey brother leetahsar had encountered such experiences once when he was requested to do an "amatuer" fengshui reading for his GOF (god of fortune) pal who was intending to buy a very big but spooky warehouse in USA - Ulu Sembawang Area. real spooky! when he relates that encounter.

his GOF was glad he listened to LTS n didn't buy that area. in return he gave LTS a big angpow which he used it to treat us to a good abalone meal.

genting in the old days was very pleasantly cool. yes, u could literally see clouds floating by u. now due to major deforestation - the usual common human greed, genting is now no longer as cooling as it used to be. if u see a cloud or a puff of mist floating u by, better scramp! it could be a lost spirit! :p
