I would say more handsome than Yam Ah Mee at least
your looks like this considered handsome ???
Sure do, but I keep it trimmed short and neat. Not to the extent of crew cut, but just short and neat.
T-shirt with tailored pants? Obiang bo? Should have put on white socks to enhance the obiang level. T-shirts never goes well with tailored pants.
hell yeah!!!!!
Without the injection and disemination of Teochew blood and genes, Thais today would look somewhere between Pinoy maids and Borneo orang asli. Even the Thai royal family is half Teochew. The Shinawatra family is not Teochew though, they're from Yunnan. They have Chinese surname too, it's 郑。
Are u sure it's just the teochew influencing the entire thailand? I read that shinawatra have hakka in them. I read an article before how thaksin visited his ancestral home in china and they held some banquet for him. It mentioned that he's 1/8 chinese hakka i think. Yet he looks so chinese.
Anyway i'm still kind of pissed off with some of these thais that want to forgo their chinese heritage. Typical of some chinese that love to be dogs.
Btw i read that the thais originated from china as in they were some tribe from yunan. There's en ethnic group called the dai residing in china that are the ancestors of the thai ppl. What i'm saying is that your claims that it was the teochew ppl that made the thais look more chinese probably isn't that correct. I suppose teochew ppl did influence the thais but probably only in the bkk area and certain areas but since the thais originated from some tribe in yunan these ppl had chinese looks just like how tibetians look like chinese ppl and the slowly conquered more lands. As they conquered more land throughout the ages the ppl living in those lands took up their culture and language and thus became thai ppl.

Yes, Shinawatra family was from Yunnan Hakka. The other major Hakka clan was of course in the Canton and HK region. Hakka means guests or nomads. Most of Bangkok and its metropolis with any Chinese blood are >90% Teochew related since the ancient days of foundation of kingdom. If you watch Thai TV or movie or even advertisement, no brown skin is allowed play starring roles, whether male or female lead. All starring actors must have fair complexion. Malay polynesian skin tone can play supporting roles like maids, drivers etc. The only way for a dark skinned Thai man to stand in limelight is via Muay Thai.

One point to consider is that Hakka people in the past had the habit of adopting the surname of the clan they were attached to i.e. if you were working for a family for a generation, your next generation would adopt the surname of that family.
Jah_rastafar_I said:I'm not really sure about that. For the females i think mostly are fair but i think there are dark skinned males. The thing is most of the thai movies i have seen throughout the ages the thai ppl especially the males have that malay tanned type of look.
