How about the hawkers, do they need to prepare the food in advance? Add extra ingredients, put in extra effort. Popiah must fold properly, CKT put in extra hum so the cameraman can take a good macro shot etc.

Seah Im sugar cane juice is still the gold standard. It was $1 for the longest time, then the price increased to $1.20 a couple of years ago.

And it uses big glass mugs, not the crappy plastic cups used at many stalls these days.

When Bedok South Blk. 16 HC reopened after renovation before the locked down,
there are many eagle's eyes tray return ambassadors watching you. Once you left the table without returning the trays, they were come after you. Tray returned is 50cts in Bedok, but if you are lucky you get a dollar.
