Where are the hamas terrorists held hostages?
Based upon intelligence, which comes from a variety of sources including Human information, it was:-
(A)believed that some or most were held in underground chambers of mosques, schools, hospitals, etc, which Hamas had been PROVEN to use to hide its weapons & as missile sites to slaughter innocents.
(B) It may also be possible that as there had been massed movements of Palestinians from the North to the South of Gaza Strip, those hostages may had been threateningly moved elsewhere during such times.
A)Should those hundred of hostages be held at Al Shifa Hospital, which is a clear possibility as it is large enough, there would be WITNESSES - doctors, nurses, patients, whom on the night of 7th Oct would notice such activities & WHERE those large groups were herded into. They will be a source of information, with the RIGHT inducements to talk....
A1) Al Shifa is a MODERN Hospital, which means it was built according to architectural & engineering plans. ANY MODIFICATIONS to those plans would be UPDATED - such as basements, tunnels, etc. And the Hospital would have a MAINTENANCE DEPT that has such plans held by in house engineers & servicing crews, so that they would be able to MAINTAIN the infrastructure at a moment's notice, such as electrical supply, power stations, trunking, water supply, sewerage, etc...
A2) As the Hospital is of modern construct, ANY alteration to original architectural plan such as basements & tunnels would INVOLVE engineer endorsed works, as no one else would be qualified to dig any tunnel WITHOUT causing the infrastructure to collapse. Studies would have to be made before any underground construction work is carried out, & such would be updated on the master plan, with details including WHO those contractors are, so that they may be contacted should maintenance works are needed.
A3) Such basements & underground structures which are used for illegal & atrocious means would usually be hidden from plain sight, even if the engineering plans will not hide such. However, it will just need METICULOUS SCRUTINY to find the hidden entrances - such as piping works that seem to lead to nowhere, scratches on flooring as cabinets or objects need to move often to open those doors, additional power generators beyond the needs of the hospitals with cables leading to underground sites, sewerage pipes to main drainage systems, etc.
A4) Another way to detect tunnels (CAVITIES) underground are ground water detectors, which can be from satellites to even hand held devices. Basically, it just send electromagnet waves into the ground & then measure how long the signal returns. Water, soil & air have different specific gravity & can be detected by measurements. There are many other ways as well with various other detection methods.
Thus time is needed, to SAVE LIVES. Tunnels are narrow, & at times, only one person can move at a time, & in war time, it will take more time as CAUTION is necessary.
B1) Much of the movement of the Palestinians from North to South would be captured on camera. Perhaps closer monitoring of those people in the crowd may throw up faces that may be similar to the hostages, as well as the paths that some would take that seem out of the way how others moved.
B2) Perhaps the IDF can send personnel to move around with them for anyone whom may had seen strangers in the midst, mostly would exhibit behaviors fear as they would be intimidated by undercover guards following them than resignation that most fleeing Palestinians would show.
Ultimately, it is about saving lives, not the blame games or lies spewed by terrorism lovers. It's not about saving just hostages lives, but also the Palestinian lives. The longer Hamas holds out in this senseless but criminal conflict that they had initiated which came with dire consequences, it will hurt the Palestinians too.
