When it comes to Covid-19 there is no such thing as an "expert"....

...... and that is because nobody knows much about the virus so everybody is making, predictions, forecasts and projections that are essentially meaningless.

However one thing that everybody knows is that it has only killed 25 people in Singapore and has a case fatality rate of 0.06% based upon the confirmed infection numbers vs deaths.

Asian flu which hit Singapore in 1957/58 had a case fatality rate of 0.67 which means it was greater than 10x more deadly than Covid-19.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1957–1958_influenza_pandemic

Mortality estimates

The case fatality rate of Asian flu was approximately 0.67%.[12] The disease was estimated to have a 3% rate of complications and 0.3% mortality in the United Kingdom;[3] it could cause pneumonia by itself, without the presence of secondary bacterial infection. It may have infected as many or more people than the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic, but the vaccine, improved health care, and the invention of antibiotics contributed to a lower mortality rate.[1] Overall, the pandemic caused 1 to 2 million deaths worldwide[2] or 2 to 4 million.[1] The UK Government estimates that between 1 and 4 million people died worldwide.[13][14] The CDC estimates 1.1 million deaths worldwide.[15] According to a study in the Journal of Infectious Diseases, the highest excess mortality occurred in Latin America.[16] About 70,000[1][11] to 116,000 people died in the United States.[17] In early 1958, it was estimated that 14,000 people had already died of the flu in the United Kingdom of the 9 million who became sick.[3] It caused many infections in children, spreading in schools and leading to many school closures, but was rarely fatal in children. The virus was most deadly in pregnant women, the elderly, and those with pre-existing heart and lung disease.[1] According to the researcher Barbara Sands,[who?][when?] some of the excess mortality attributed to the Great Leap Forward in Maoist China may have actually been caused by the 1957 flu.[18]

Good science is about making good predictions so your hypothesis can be validated. Good science is improved by better science.

I stand to be corrected.

Good science is about making an assumption and then validating it via experimentation. When it comes to Covid-19 nothing has been validated. All we have is data which nobody understands but wild predictions and assumptions are made for political purposes.

China may have something we all are not aware of ...if the presumption is that the virus originated or escaped from Wuhan lab ..I am certain china has all the genetic traces...

my guess is ,China planned to bring the world down to its knees ...than show its economical strength and also an antidote for this virus ,namely a vaccine ...than the globe has to bow to china meaning Xi

There is no past infection model for Covid-19.

Likewise for the previous cases for SARS and MERS, and for future novel viral outbreaks.

Then how should we be prepared then?

You can't. That's the point. As a species we've become fixated on the notion that we are in control when we aren't.

Whatever comes along you just have to ride it out and hope for the best. No amount of preparation can mitigate the inevitable.

Hmm... and in the spirit of Science, there’s no way we can repeat these experiments. Not falsifiable, no emperical data from repeated experimental results that can help us validate the hypothesis. Nice. Then let’s open up all the way then!

Who will die shall die, I’m 5 feet under anyway. You too, Boss?

Its all horseshit. Turns out its just another flu. What have we learned from all this? Wear a mask and older people should be careful. That is it. Theres no reason for the lockdowns or the job losses.. Even in freaking Sweden they did not lock down and people still stayed home. Economy tanked. Problem is people are idiots and we are surrounded by more idiots.

Exactly ! That's what i've been saying since day one. Initially WHO said any vaccine needs 10 ~ 18 years. These statement below are all truths... or possibilities that's all :
  • Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, said the earliest the US may get a coronavirus vaccine will be in 12 to 18 months.
  • Some experts say reaching that target may be challenging, because vaccines require a lot of testing.
  • One worry is "immune enhancement," normally spotted in animal testing, whereby a vaccine actually weakens a person's response to the virus.
  • It can take 10 years or more to bring a vaccine from the starting block to being approved by regulators. The FDA says, in this case, it will be flexible to accommodate approval for a workable COVID-19 virus vaccine.
  • 40 vaccines for the coronavirus are in development right now, according to the World Health Organization. A number of labs have begun human trials.

So you see nothing is sure or solid and i'm sure you know how authorities will always say more positive and encouraging situation at this failed point of time not to cause more panic.

There has not been any true vaccines ever maybe i'll put it this way there are only vitamins jabs that enhance your general health a bit for a short period of time. That's why when we travel previous we can go for a jab. Look at this graph even till now Aid has no vaccine.
https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/annual-number-of-deaths-by-cause

The top death has always been Cardiovascular diseases & Respiratory diseases which common symptom is ? Flu !

In the midst of this chaos most of us are naturally at a lost, feels hopeless, anxiety, fear and frustration but actually healing is innate hence immunity is natural, faith, and confidence can be restore too. How ?

You see, we live in a collective world ya ? Have you all even looked outside ? Look at our fauna and flora have you noticed the change ? Without the Carbon monoxide, unburned fuel, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter such as mercury from our Vehicles our Flora has rejuvenated and flourished again ! We all especially SG a city state has began to really breathe healthy air again !

The air in Peking where pinky said no need to light a ciggy just open the windows lol...... and the rivers are pork soup yes yes yes it's the same Baa Baa Black Sheeple mentality but nevertheless even India's air has cleared for the better. Our Ozone level the natural protection for earth has also
augmented.

Never has for billions of years has Gaia been so alive, populated and healthy despite the seemingly chaos !!! How many are actually sick ? lol.... Think about it. Ironically never has the entire world also live in so much fear of its own shadow...... When the entire air, oceans, environment, fauna and flora are flourishing humans are pledged with an incurable pandemic ?!! Really folks ?! Such ignorance......

Healing or immunity is innate by default it lowers when you lit that ciggy, when you eat unhealthily or living in anger or anxiety and when you remove the cause causing the disease same like when the smog is gone the fauna & flora regenerate or heal up !

Flu is not the disease it is purging the toxins from our body and the fever kills the bacterials it's the cure and how can there be a vaccine for a cure ?! Hence they said the flu evolve all the time............. as our toxins or poison in the air, water and food evolve as we scientifically evolve we create more or higher grades of materials and naturally it's by products when dump unethically in the air or seas we suffer.

Everything is connected thus a collective existence. That's why the wisdom is never about blame but assist to understand to educate and slowly we change, hope it's for the better there's no guarantee species goes extinct all the time but new ones are born or created all the time as well.

But our core or consciousness is always there there's growth but there's no separation ever, never has been. You'll exist eternally the Self never just disappear only change form there's no death in Nature only new life.

It's an interesting era or timeline to be here for without sufferings there's no polarizations hence true growth. We learn compassion first hand when we suffer. :P The Gods favors us ! /rofl........... Be well <3
