Did HDB not know that the aluminium structure creates an ugly skyline ? It looks like an attap house on the rooftop.

How much energy is saved ? Are they going to reduce the conservancy charges because of the solar panels ?

Really KNN. The only party that is going to profit from this entire exercise is the vendors.

I think they are using it to power the lights in the hdb walkway. But they still charge us sp bill as it is not enough power to power up the whole utility.

they help and hide rooftop sex from prying eyes and drones. it’s a new program to increase the birth rate.

The PAP technocrats are ardent believers of the globalist anti-carbon cult, investing in 'renewable' or 'sustainable' or 'green' energy is part of their agenda.

By the way, if you're interested to know, many of these newly installed solar panels on the roofs of older HDB flats are of this Tiong brand:

Who are the vendor? RC?

They destroyed the skyline.

The could have done away with the cheap looking props so that the panels are not visible from the ground.

Another example of the anti-carbon cult pushing a false narrative ('rising sea levels'), creating an imaginary problem to justify spending on a project which will serve as its imaginary solution.

Did HDB asked permission from the block’s flat owners before they installed these solar panels?

The solar panels only good for maybe 5 hours Max daytime. That is fed to the grid and compensated by grid giving back to HDB at night to light up the corridors. I doubt if there is enough to power the lifts from those panels.
