Cheapo Tan (a/k/a Sumiko Tan**) in an article published last week, wrote of how she was captivated by the views from her cable car ride to Sentosa. Gimme a break! And it's so bloody expensive! 29 SGD per person.

What does the National Orchid Garden have to offer to tourists? How much does one have to pay to enter the garden?

Not possible. Not enough hair !:o

Wow! So patriotic, so proud, ai seh man, happy SG50! :D

Glad to know that Sinkies (and this case, a Sinkie-Jap hybrid bitch), are doing 国内旅行 like what the folks from other countries do. ;)

Many things to do, many discoveries waiting for you, and you need not have a passport or worry about currency exchange rates or dodgy jumbo jets. ;)

And the garment is still saying we have low inflation. 30 bucks for a cable car ride? The purchasing power of SGP dollars is crap.

Whats there to see on a $30 cable car ride from mt faber? Even lantau island cable car ride which spans 3x the distance with better air quality, scenery which surprisingly it cost half as much!!!!!

This proves that PAP is the best!

In Singapore, you charge a price to deter the gian png Sinkies from going. The Da Vinci exhibition was free on its last weekend, and plenty of gian png Sinkies thronged the exhibition halls and brought along their noisy brats... and the poor Italian museum guide couldn't even perform his duty without hindrance.

Errrrr, so u went on the last weekend when it was free? :o:D

You know she has no talent when she writes "Out at sea hundreds of ships were anchored at the harbour, a sign the economy is doing well".

Did she count the number of ships? If our economy is judged by the number of ships in port, we should be enjoying double digit growth every year.

The elites in sinkapore are plain stupid.

Even Lee Wei Ling could have her own column pontificating about his daddy's underwear washing habits... the bar has already been set very low. Sumiko's piece is refreshing and edifying by comparison.

It's like saying looking at the large number of prostitutes in Geylang, Singapore men are happy with their sex lives.

Politically correct article ... won't be surprised it was the chief editor who asked her to write something about SG50 ... something special about Singapore. It must have took her a long time to come up with the article...she really had nothing good to say going by the content and phrases such as "Out at sea hundreds of ships were anchored at the harbour, a sign the economy is doing well". Why don't just say the unemployment rate is under 2% ; a sign of the economy humming well. She writes well, but the content sucks ...

Guys without the hard work and perserverance of our state writers and musicians working round the clock to exhort the greatness of our country and the beauty of our motherland, even living in a first world country like singapore can seem like a tiresome chore, even a nightmare.with the right words and the right amount of persuasion, even north korea can seem like heaven on earth if u tell the people often enough.

The best part is Singapore zoo , in other country you pay one price to see all animals , in Singapore they break into 3 sections , river safari , night safari and zoo to collect more entrance fees ;)
