The easiest place to survive, become a citizen and make it a home is OZ.
Chia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam don't normally grant citizenship or never grant citizenship. Though these destination have become very popular for value and those seeking retirement with the hope streching their money.
Canada, OZ and NZ are migrant destination and have a long history of handling migrants with programs and assistance. Unfortunately Canada has a well known restrictive practice when it comes to employment even at professional levels. Beautiful country though.
NZ is great for retirees but economically its struggles from one issue to another. Kiwi when they graduate move in numbers to OZ and UK. They are losing hordes of people to Brisbane. Absolutely nice people though. Been to Auckland or Wellington after 6pm on a weekday, weekend or any other day? If you see a dog walk by after that hr, thats your luck day. They need people badly.
Thats leave only OZ.
Decide based on exactly what you want to do? If you are young, have young kids, and looking for new life so your kids can have bright future, then aim for the developed countries. Canada and OZ are your best bet.
If its retirment, stretch your dollar, then Malaysia, get a house in Penang or Johore, rent your house in Singapore and enjoy the variety.
If you want to make quick bucks, adventurous, entreoreneurial, no kids in tow, might want to head to China, Vietnam.
Thailand has nice people, very accommodating but you will not make your miilions or even thousands there legally. You instead spend your time in Sammyboy. Business and Trade regualtions are tight. However many have gone over to do small farming, provison stores etc.
Good luck.
