What Singapore LAKSA lack

Just get a few PRC Mei Meis dress in low plunge Kurbaya dress n short skirts, let go half balls and show one leg two legs n say "Hiya Hiya Lao Bang Lao Bang Sayang Sayang".

When you are ordering...

Just say

Mei Mei LAKSA...

LAKSA "UP" SIZE, AI "HUMP"

Prawn paste. Knn, almost all the foodcourt and coffeeshop stalls nowadays think laksa is compete how spicy and hot the gravy is. It is not the spicy level! It is the prawn paste!

Laksa with almost no prawn paste taste like assam water! Might as well eat mee siam! How come laksa become so lousy nowaday!

Singapore style laksa is never prepared with prawn paste. If you had used it you would have probably followed a recipe from some foreign website.

btw it is interesting to note that you can't get Spore laksa this way in Malaysia. If the Malaysinas mention laksa they really meant curry noodles. If you find authentic Spore laksa in Malaysia let me know.

Aiyah, I mean the shrimp. Dried shrimp, pounded until become powder one. Or almost become powder. It is the secret to laksa! Nowaday the hawker all think laksa is spicy water only!

I guess that is where "mee siam mai hum" come from!

Yeah Bro, you are closer the recipe now. You can add milk in the gravy if you wish. For this dish it is "laksa ai hum".

PM must be thinking of his laksa but got blurred with mee siam.
