In a bid to buff Kim Jong-un's public image into one of a military action man North Korea has borrowed from the Vladimir Putin handbook, quickly releasing a documentary showing the portly young man astride a white stallion.

In another segment he's seen driving a tank, his head poking out of the forward hatch.

While his father Kim Jong-il kept out of the public spotlight for three years after taking power Jong-un is appearing on state TV almost daily.
