What is the 1st thing you do when you become "unsinkified"?

Just went through my citizenship test today. Hopefully in a couple of weeks time I would have a letter stating I'm an Aussie. Was wondering what is the first thing the "old dogs" do when they become citizen? Below is some of the things I can think of.

1) Send flowers to LKY/LHL/GCT/PAPee minister thanking them for all the fishes and so long.

2) Send Ho ching a letter demanding all your CPF money. Or thanking her but no thanks I want all my money now. See 1) if you want to be "gracious".

3) Look for Mee Siam Mai Hum, but decided the Aussie pie is better and have that instead.

4) Start watching Rugby Union/League, AFL, Tennis, Cricket, instead of football.

5) Start looking at Jobstreet.com.sg to be employed as an FT.

Anything else I can add?

congrats mate! once you have that letter, you can get an Aussie passport & withdraw your CPF!

But the ceremony is next yr's Aussie Day right?

No worries mate, apparently it depends on the number of citizens they get. Once the numbers are there they will send out the letter. So I won't have to wait till Australia Day.

No mate, citizenship ceremony are not just held during Australia day, they are held at the local council whenever there is enough new citizens. OZ day can be selected on your application that you want it to be held then, the normal process would be as soon as available when they have the numbers to hold one.

How long before you qualify? They have changed it to 4 years now versus the 2 before.

It is Aussie's favourite IMPORTED beer.
Somehow, when you have mates who appreciate good food (not the usu snags in the pit), they will ask for Corona over the other brownies.

I guess I mixed with too many Italian Aussies. They are fair dinkums!!!

Just in case, Italians are very close to Chinese when it comes to food and family lives.

But you are right that once in a while, people will ask for "the green one" (VB)

As for Crown, go for the Premium Gold!

So long as you remember that French cruisine is high-class Italian food, you will know how blessed we Aussies are to have them as mates.

Mate are u serious? I really want one, when you plan to go back? It maybe a few weeks or a couple of months before I can get my passport, and I can't leave the country during this period.
