Humanity defines REALITIES thru our acknowledged 5 senses - hear, see, touch, smell & taste. Using this premise, let's do 3 simple experiments:-
1. Buy or borrow a telescope that can see even craters on the moon, then set it up upon a beach & watch a cargo ship leave Singapore. Should Earth be flat, then with such a telescope, which SEES further than normal Human eyes can see, would see it reached its destination at even the furtherest point.
However, even if such a telescope is used, in reality, it would be impossible to see, as (somehow) the ship disappeared over the horizon. Normal logic would assumed that it had fall off over the edge of flat Earth. But yet, it appears once again at the horizon to arrive at our shores to discharge cargo. How is this possible?
2. Throw a stone out of the window, & one will sees it FALL to the ground. Thus GRAVITY exists, which ALL would agree.
3. SWING a pail of water in round motions, as vigorously as one can, & one will find that the water DOES not fall off. How is this possible? It is just basic science of gravity caused by a SPINNING object.
Our Sun exacts a gravitational field, akin to one spinning a pail of water, & thus planets within our Solar System are akin to the water in the pail. It does not fall off into space, & as our planet Earth too spins on it own, akin to one swinging a pail of water, we-Humankind & objects DO NOT Fall off the planet, akin to the water in the pail.
UTIMATELY, regardless if Earth is flat or round, the BASICS of Humankind needs to be addressed - water, food, shelter, progress & evolution - are of far more PRIORITY, to provide for oneself & loved ones. Such are more critical than senseless arguments over lofty subjects.
