The Kurdish National Council - who usually have a pretty tense relationship with the PYD/PKK - have put out a statement condemning the attack on Afrin -

"We also call upon the United States and Russia and the United Nations to break their silence and protect the region and its people."

They also call on the PYD to return to the "Duhok agreement" and resume power-sharing with other Kurdish parties in northern Syria.

Alwaleed bin Talal was released last night almost straight after the video was aired. Not a coincidence. Interview was clearly a condition of release. Reuters appears to have been used directly for Saudi PR.
