i just heard social welfare to the needies is raised to $320 per mth from $290. enough meh? there is something very hypocritical: raising the utilities charges, then annoucing to "PUB rebate".
and another exmple: lowering the vehicle tax by $54 but then how much they silently beep us back through the extensive ERP networks? the figures do seem aunthentic or really tally. imagine u going in and out of the gantry to and fro work during peak hours, how much each day would a motorist be beeped?
paps have never change their pattern of giving $1 fr left pocket and taking back $100 fr the right. when they give that miserly $1 they make it publicly known. but when they take back the $100 fr preasants, many REALLY do not know. GST alone has already done the necessary invisible and silent action. many grown accustomed to it and hence are numbed and immuned. that sadly is the bo chap singaporeans mentality unique here.

another very important question: how come he didn't brag about the glc investments in foreign troubled banks? why didn't he reveal about the profit/loss accountable? what about the national reserves in the coffer? they always love to brag about this but this year it was muffled.
