Cohabitation is just like owning a private carpark lot. You can park your car at any time but the carpark lot is maintained by town council and most importantly the car park lot is not attaching to you personally

milk is free to drink and unlimited qty
the cow can sing to you if you are bored
the cow can give offspring, ensuring you have prolonged supply of milk

con of having a cow - whilst the milk is free, the cow needs maintenance.
maintenance of the cow goes up with age
getting rid of the cow is almost impossible.
you are stuck with the flavor of the milk. you cannot change flavor as and when you like.
milk flavor do change, likewise the cow but there is nothing you can do about it.

so if you want TLDR, you don't need to own a cow to drink milk.

You fight her, divorce and she takes your property and you pay for the kids.

You refuse to let her go out with her male friends, divorce and she takes your property and you pay for the kids.
