It not a tank, it an armor fighting vehicle. Troops carrier with light armour and I dunno 105mm main gun? It still way better than saf bionix infantry fighting vehicle. Saf BX only 3km/hr in water, so if meet a 3km/hr current, it basically hentakaki. BX main body is under the waterline, with only some canvas and scaffolding preventing the water from overwhelming the BX. The VC suppose to stand on a temporary platform at the front of the BX peeping over the canvas to guide the driver. The VC will be expose to small arms fire during the crossing, a couple of 7.62 rounds can either kill the VC or cause the canvas aka floatation device to collapse.
Who the fark in DSTA think hmm... it a great idea and implemented a confirm die floatation kit? I had a frightening experience night crossing in 80m wide still water reservoir in LCK. No way and nobody can make me do it again.
