If it was a case of dementia & one is poor they would probably lock you up in some institution.

In Spore the old can't even hire a maid to help out unless you can show you are financial qualified & can pay the PAP their cut of the maid's salary. There is even an online course that every prospective employer has to go through on the care & feeding of maids

So when you consider all the advantages & savings it's not surprising that many chose to live abroad in their twilight years.

I was just a victim of a crime. While I was shopping at an NTUC & I left my basket unattended on the floor to weigh some produce & when I turned around my basket was gone

I was really angry because in the basket I had left some packed hawker food. Not just any hawker food stuff but food that I made a special trip to Albert Food court to get. The theft left me angry & hungry :(

Never happened to me before. There must be very desperate people out there to do such a thing. So watch out.

It has plenty of old style dishes however it is dark, very crowded & dirty. They renovated the place a few year ago but the place already looks very run down. If it wasn't for the variety of dishes there I would have avoided this food court .

Indian rojak. This stall was one of the stalls formerly located at Waterloo Street. As a student I remember going there after visiting the old National Library. This is the only stall there selling indian rojak. They are closed on mondays.

Wanton mee. The are 2 stalls there selling wanton mee. This is the old style wanton mee. The older stall is located in the same row as the carrot cake stall. While the newer one is located in the row next to the row where the rojak stall is located.

There are of course many other stalls there e.g. the pisang goreng stall, the chinese rojak stall, .... On that day I felt like having indian rojak & wanton mee :o Unfortunately I have to limit my visits to hawker centres because hawker food is not healthy :(

AMK Ave 4 and street 11 junction, Blk 112. That coffeeshop nearest traffic junction has an Indian stall selling prata, bryani, mee goreng, kambeng soup, Indian Rojak(2-5pm only).......etc. you go and try and FR here. They close on alternate Wednesday.

Many people had tried it and every dish is good, imo, to-date it beats every stall I tried. Start with either Bryani or prata or Rojak depending on time you visit.

Am sure you will go back when you have feel for Indian food.

Oh ya, inside this Coffeeshop, any stall you ate from, the food is great. There are about 7 or 8 stalls inside. It's about 10 minute walk from AMK Melban (crab noodle). Careful there's total of 3 Coffeeshop in vicinity.
