Been there before, where malay start speaking in malay during meeting. I told them to speak in English and if they dun, I make them repeat what they just said and that's it. Is there a need to resign? Is that discrimination?

I do not know Korean, and sometimes Korean co-workers talk Korean among themselves.
It's not a problem to me, and I don't get into a hissy fit over it.

Seems like this minah has low self-esteem, and few people at work want to hang out with her. Or talk to her... in any language.

i have not met may mat office workers. but the mat delivery guys are usually the more steady ones, usually willing to go the extra 1/4 mile.

from what i hear, the malaise has infected the minahs more than the mats. i hear of mats being royally screwed by their minah ex-wives over alimony payments.

I think she was being reasonable. If she had expected them to speak Malay, then she would have been racist. But she had expected them to speak English, which is the official language actually. So the Chinese buggers are wrong to speak Chinese when she is around if it is the intention not to let her understand what they are talking. English is the good middle to meet, yet she is regarded as racist by you guys instead of the Chinks.

If co-workers speak English during work communications such as meetings, there is no reason for workers to stop speaking Chinese in the office.

if her co-workers were china chinese, one can hardly expect them to be highly conversant in english. i have been the sole non-native language speaker amongst a group of foreigners. they made an effort to switch to english, but the conversation went nowhere for them. i reassured them its ok to speak in their mother tongue, and one of them would politely explain to me what's being said at the end of each pause in the conversation. and if he got it wrong, someone else would correct him.

i made an effort to integrate with the foreigners. this minah only knows how to blame others. stupid bitch deserves to get out of this country.
