Warren Buffet still lives in the same small 3 bedroom house in mid-town Omaha that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He said that he has everything that he needs in that house.
Dont buy more than what you "really need".
2. He drives his own car and does not have a driver or security people around him.
You are what you are.
3. He never travels by private plane even though he owns the world's largest private plane company.
Always think how you can accomplish things economically.
4. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His pastime after he gets home is to make himself some popcorn and watch tv.
Dont try to show off. Just be yourself and do things that you enjoy doing.
5. Bill Gates the world's richest man met Buffet for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Buffet. So he scheduled his meeting only for half an hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for 10 hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.
6. Warren Buffet's advice to young people :
"Stay away from credit cards (bank loans) and invest in yourself and remember
a) Money doesnt create man but it is the man who created money
b) Live your life as simple as you are
c) Dont do what others say. Just listen to them but do what you feel good
d) Dont go on brand name, just wear those things in which you feel comfortable
e) After all it is your life, then why give chance to others to rule your life.

Actually most of what he says and does is simply rational and sensible logic.
The problem is that most people are emotional and greedy, rather than rational and sensible. Hence Buffet is much richer than these people.

just to add some interesting titbits of info

I finished reading his 800 page biography - Snowball

he does enjoy many luxuries in his life, but to be fair, what we define as luxury, to him is like buying rabbit brand singlet at the wet market

even his private jet is like someone with net assets of $200k, spending $200 on something

He likes to mix with the rich and famous, from sonny bono, to the clintons etc.. his favourite event is the annual sun valley conference by herb allen for the richest and most powerful people
