SINGAPORE: Two Singaporean men were shot and injured in a Copenhagen restaurant on Monday evening around 7pm.
Danish media reported that the two men involved in the incident are 61-year-old Roland Tan who owns Restaurant Bali and his 53-year-old friend who was visiting.
Danish police told Channel NewsAsia that the two were preparing for Mr Tan's closed-door birthday celebration at the restaurant on Nytorv Square when the incident occurred.
The gunman is believed to have entered the premises through the back door of the restaurant.
Mr Tan was shot in his shoulder while his friend took a bullet to the stomach.
Police are currently searching for the suspect, a 47-year-old Vietnamese man, who they believe is currently hiding out in Copenhagen.
They believe a personal matter is the reason for the incident and are hoping to apprehend the suspect within the next few days
