I was about to call for the omen-mongers to quickly come and interpret the meaning or significance of the lightning strike, but you beat me to it.

If you flip onto the other side of the coin, it shows you that in spite of the lightning strike, the merlion which symbolises the lion city of Singapore remains steadfast and resolute - the mighty lightning creates just a tiny hole - not any bigger than one between a female legs.

That's what Singapore represent. Perhaps that is what the PAP government represent - that in spite of lightning strike it can still hold the country together. Viva PAP!
