Singtel fell likely because of its Optus operations facing competition from startup. Can look at buying around $3.60 level.

optus is always and forever the albatross around singtel's neck ever since some idiot coe thought he very smart to go buy an ang mo singtel....kena chop carrot big big....10 BILLION?

Singtel never recovered from this fiasco....employee welfare benefits kena chopped, then subscribers benefits chopped, followed by rising prices, lousy tv package deals, high bids for football deals, etc, etc....no end to the foolery and incompetence shown by all the army people posted to singtel....

singtel is just short term, can make money, just pack up, take money and leave....no more kum cheng with them to speak of when the management decided to cut the benefits of employees and retirees...after the disastrous optupussy deal...:(

any rise at all from listed $3.60 price, take as a dead cat bounce...

Yes Optus as one of the incumbents in Oz will be affected by the entrance of TPG. Hard to say where the price of Singtel will stabilise at. Many short sellers out there betting on it going lower.

I looked at TLS and TPM when it fell on Tues. To be honest, TPM has a long way to go to establish being the 4th player in the mobile space. Hence TLS it'll be. Dividend yield is 7.7%, that is better then any FD account!
