Of course, tariffs are like gst. You impose tariffs, you can cut taxes elsewhere.
Make NO mistakes - The Trump Administration Economics team are several steps far ahead that what most leaders or Humankind would presume.
1. While the Tariffs would provide taxes in revenue to US Treasury, PrezTrump is still open to negotiations, which means those taxes under an economic calculation is still a variable factor.
i)Should other Nations refuse to negotiate, they will only see their economies broken by the high tariffs that US importers will have to pay & eventually be abandoned.
ii)Should they negotiate & work out a win-win solution for all Humanity, it will means that the tariffs/tax revenues will be lower.
2. However, in either eventualities, the House - USA will win, as it is a resource rich Nation & needs no goods from elsewhere, as it did during WW2 after the Pearl Harbor Attack, whereby factories sprung up literally overnight within military ordained 8hrs, from a mere pacifist Nation with a small army to a military superpower, to meet demands...
Within just mere 3 weeks when good project managers are hired, factories will start operations, that WILL create jobs & opportunities for Americans, from low to high tech industries than to be held hostage & living on handouts as under previous WhiteHouse Administrations, to put food on the table for loved ones & with funds left over to fund National necessary social expenditures.
3. Ultimately, even with tax breaks no matter the eventualities on the outcome of tariffs negotiations, EVERY Human on Earth pay taxes, as such is how Civilization evolves, to fund social expenditures such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, research, etc, etc. And USA has far more resources to gain revenue for such resources than any Nation.
