Two teen suspects arrested for mischief by fire

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested two teens, aged 13 and 14 years, who are suspected of being involved in a case of mischief by fire on Thursday morning.
The older youth was found rummaging inside a rubbish collection centre by a cleaner who then detained him.
The cleaner also spotted the younger boy, believed to be acting as a lookout, outside the rubbish collection centre.
The cleaner shouted at him, which alerted a passer-by who detained the 13 year old.
Both youths were arrested by the police shortly after.
Investigations revealed that the 14 year old was involved in several cases of setting fire to discarded items at public places in Ang Mo Kio.
The involvement of the younger boy is still pending investigation.
