In response to a Stomp query, Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at Block 52 Cassia Crescent on June 10 at about 9am.
The fire involved five bicycles in the fourth-storey common corridor, said the police.

About 50 people were evacuated by the police and SCDF as a precautionary measure.
The man was taken to Singapore General Hospital for smoke inhalation.
Through ground enquiries, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on June 12. A lighter used to set the fire was seized.
The man was charged in court on June 13 with mischief by fire with intent to cause damage, which carries an imprisonment term up to seven years, and shall also be liable to a fine.
