Two men under investigation for making false robbery reports: Police
Both men claimed to have been assaulted and robbed of their money and valuables.

SINGAPORE - Police are investigating two men who are believed to have lodged false reports claiming they were assaulted and robbed of their money and valuables.
The first case involved a 31-year-old man who made a police report at Rochor Neighbourhood Police Centre, claiming he had been assaulted by three men along Dickson Road at about 2.40am on Tuesday (Aug 9).
He also alleged that the trio had robbed him of his bag and wallet, which contained $700 in cash.
The second case saw a 24-year-old call 999 on Wednesday morning, claiming a man had assaulted him before robbing him of his gold chain at Block 232, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3.
Both men were found to have provided false information to the police.
The two cases follow a spate of false reports received by the police over the last two weeks.
In a reminder to the public, police said its resources could have been better used to deal with real crimes and emergencies.
"Those who lodge false police reports or provide false information will face serious consequences under the law," police added.
Those convicted of giving any information known to be false to a public servant could be jailed up to a year or fined up to $5,000, or both.
