PETALING JAYA - When a financial consultant decided to call it quits with her boyfriend for demanding sex from her, he turned nasty.
He e-mailed to her three pictures of her in the nude last August and threatened to make it public unless she paid him RM60,000 (S$24,105.60).
Chow said she did not realise she had been photographed in the nude while she was taking a bath.
The distraught woman said she pleaded with her ex-lover who finally decided to reduce the "fine" to RM20,000 but with a condition.
"He told me that I had to send him three new photos of me posing in the nude," she said.
In a separate incident, another woman from Kuala Lumpur said her ex-lover had also leaked nude photos of her online after their relationship turned sour.
Jenny, 30, said she broke off with her boyfriend in April after putting up with his abuses for some time.
She said he later set up a Facebook page in her name where he leaked three photos of her, secretly snapped while she was changing. He also e-mailed the photos to Jenny's friends and colleagues.
Both women related their ordeal at the MCA Public Services and Complaints Department yesterday.
Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong said Chow and Jenny lodged police reports at the Sentul police station and Damansara police station respectively.
Their cases are being investigated under Section 292 and 383 of the Penal Code for circulating obscene materials and for extortion.
Chong said the department received 11 cases of sexual harassment this year, four of which involved women whose nude photos were leaked online by their ex-boyfriends.
