Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan
has made it clear that Turkey is ready to go in war with Israel

In his parliamentary address Erdogan accused Israel of a "bloody massacre” as he described Israel's raid on a flotilla, including a Turkish ship, carrying relief supplies to blockaded Gaza.

"We see clear murder taking place, and we see an aggressive country,” Erdogan said criticizing Israel and warning not to test his country’s patience. He said: “Turkey’s hostility was as strong as its friendship is valuable.”

According to Erdogan, relations between the two countries would never be as before.

Turkey has always prided itself as a war-like nation; ready to go to war at a moment's notice. But then more so is Israel. In fact, Israel is constantly at war; if not conventional warfare, it's guerilla warfare. I can't wait to see Turkey attack Israel. When that happens as opposed to just talking cock only, we can have a roast turkey.

Turkey should just rename itself since they can only talk cock and is too chicken to go to war with Israel. Given historically how Israel can beat the crap out of its neighbors and the fact that Israel is Nuclear enabled, bird-brain Turkey should keep it beak shut.

Turkey is member of NATO. This is a classic case of No Action Talk Only. It's rhetoric to appease their Muslim population and neighbours.

I think if they were Hamas, IDF helicopter already blasted out of sky with RPG and special forces would be dropping like flies.

Lets say there is a riot and you helecopter some swat team right over and into the mob. What do you think will happen? That is exactly what happens. The mob will tear you apart

I'm fucking furious after watching the video.

Aid workers ? For Gaza ? How many of them are Hamas ?

Republic of turkey is secular state. There are jews and christians in that country. If it is going to war it's because israel soldiers killed their civilians, not for the sake of religious differences.

Israel has not meet a formidable army since the Yom Kippur War and Turkish Army is a different kettle of fish altogether, quite evenly match on paper, with Turkey having advantage with her naval power and Israel having the home advantage and the better airforce.

It will be interesting to see how NATO reacts, though. Since they can dropped into Aghanistan, Israel is much nearer. But their charter allows only intervention if the attacks happened in North America and Europe, which explained why the Falklands War did not result in NATO involvement.

See how NATO squirms out of this...

This present PM Erdogan is very popular man in Turkey. He plays his political cards well and has become a figure whom the Turks admire. By playing the anti Israel card Erdogan not only commands the respect of fellow Turks but also gets admiration among the Arabs, who are traditionally enemies of Turks and Iranians. Internally a strong Erdogan is able to carry out much needed reforms within Turkey and challenge the entrenched military establishment which resist and dislike him.

But..all said and done...Erdogan is more close to Israel leaders than with the Arabs, and this apparent display of defiance against Israel is only an outward political show.

In fact there have been reports of Erdogan being seen once praying at the Jerusalem wailing wall..though not verified, the news report may have been spread by his fellow Turkish political detractors to vilify him.

Hence all this tough talk from Erdogan is just political posturing for internal consumption and to get Arab backing for giving Turkey a middle east leadership role.

Don't worry, Israel will hit them hard and bad till the Turks give up their land and beg for mercy and peace like on the Arab-Israeli War, the Six-Day War and Yom Kippur War.

The Palestinians wanderers should be grateful to have a piece of land "given" to them. Their Arab brothers is making use of them.

No matter how formidable their navy Turks don't have the power projection ability. Their navy will operate without the support of airforce because they do not have a/c carrier. No air superiority only means that they can only become roast turkey.
