PUTRAJAYA - After making a statement that the Indian community in this country is still not completely loyal to the country, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad made a new claim that the Malays in this country will disappear in the next 10 years.
The former Prime Minister said that such an allegation was made because the Malays would be captured by other nations without involving war because no party cared about the plight of the Malays at the moment.
"We know the country has lost a lot, if you want to say you don't know you can't.
"We lost four states in the north, Riau Island, Singapore, Penang Island and in another 10 years (the Malay race) will disappear.
"We (the Malays) will lose our country as if we were captured by another nation without war," he said in the Minda Negarawan program '150th Anniversary of the Pangkor Agreement' at the Perdana Leadership Foundation (YKP) today.
Therefore, Mahathir urged that all parties be aware of the allegations and immediately take appropriate action.
