DPM Wong starts own site

BISHAN-EAST residents looking to engage their Member of Parliament, Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng, can now do it through his very own website.

Mr Wong, who is also Home Affairs Minister, unveiled wongkanseng.sg on Saturday night at his constituency's National Day dinner.

While other Cabinet Ministers such as Foreign Minister George Yeo, Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan and Manpower Minister Gan Kim Yong have set up blogs and facebook accounts, Mr Wong is the first to have a personal website.

On it, people can send him messages directly, as well as connect with him through social media services Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

It also provides updates on what is going on in the estate.

The launch of the site comes at a time when the PAP is trying to build capacity online.
