The point of this post is - nothing is for free in this World. Pay peanuts & one gets monkeys. It is good to give others a chance, but under situations of needs in a perennial world of conflicts & Humanity shortcomings , should one go for the untested or the tried & tested? I humbly apologize to anyone who may be offended by my this post. It's not about ministers salaries, but about WHOM, although imperfect as NO mortal is perfect, can best meet our needs & lead us as an evolving Singaporean society & civilization.
The "tried and tested" has heaped unrelenting hardship upon its citizens with policies that give foreigners a huge slice of our limited pie even though our leaders claim it has always been "Singaporeans' First". Why sign away tens of thousands of PME jobs to foreigners when our own citizens are struggling to find work that commensurate with their qualifications and experience? Isn't that treason?

If singkies not happy...do it at the ballot box. No point vote pap n kpkb that the pappies are bad etc
That is the whole problem with S'poreans who want an Opposition - just not in their constituency, in case the govt backlash results in their neighbourhood becoming a slum.

Thailand’s key economic stimulus — an almost $14 billion cash giveaway to its citizens — is poised to be abandoned by the next government under the daughter of Thaksin Shinawatra, according to local media reports.
Thaksin told the ruling Pheu Thai party and his daughter, Paetongtan Shinawatra, voted by the parliament on Friday as prime minister, to drop the plan, the Nation reported, citing a party official it didn’t identify. Earlier this week, the court disqualified previous leader Srettha Thavisin.

SINGAPORE - Around 180 coffee shops will start offering budget meals by end-July under a scheme to provide Singaporeans with more affordable food options, more than doubling the pool of participating coffee shops to 330.
These newest participants of the budget meal scheme will also start accepting CDC vouchers progressively from July 1, said the Ministry of National Development and Housing Board.
The 180 coffee shops are run by nine private chain operators: Badaling, Broadway, De Tian, Chang Cheng, FoodFare Kopitiam, Kimly, Kim San Leng, Koufu and Select. They comprise 60 rental HDB coffee shops that will voluntarily offer budget meals ahead of their lease renewal, as well as 120 privately owned coffee shops

Do u feel we have over empathsize on materialastic factors in our society?

Are we sending right message to our kids and setting a good example.

TBH, i am very supportive of PM Wong idea to move away from 5C. Our country need to think and chart a road for substainable future...rather than falsed prosperity mirages like Tiongkok had encountered
Talk cock lah. He want to move away from the 5 C then he should set an example and reduce his obscene salary by 80%

Budget meals = kid's meal. Adults will need to order at least 3 portions to be full.
