No he was not on OMS. But it appears that he was treated as an OMS for the disruption application. The application was for the BA, MD-phd. I was merely saying that for an OMS if they gave up their scholarship and paid the bond while in the midst of their studies, they were recalled back to serve out the rest of the NS. Their studies are put on hold. There have been a number of such cases.
I still do not understand. If he was not on an OMS and not on the usual medical officer track, then why was he allowed to disrupt? Did he really apply to disrupt for the entire duration of his BA-MD-PhD studies? Surely, Mindef must have asked how long his disruption would be.
