If detect early and with early treatment, there is still good chance for maintaining a reasonable good lifestyle quality for 10yrs or more. But it will be noticeable mental capability degradation after 5-6th year...esp speech and attention cycle will drop first
There is no cure for Parkinson.
Existing medical treatment can only slow down the degradation

While there's no guaranteed way to prevent Parkinson's disease, there are several daily steps individuals can take to potentially reduce their risk:
1. **Regular Exercise**: Engage in regular physical activity, including aerobic exercise, strength training, and balance exercises. Exercise has been shown to have neuroprotective effects and may help reduce the risk of Parkinson's disease.
2. **Healthy Diet**: Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Some studies suggest that a Mediterranean-style diet, which includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and olive oil, may be beneficial for brain health.
3. **Stay Mentally Active**: Keep your brain stimulated with activities such as reading, puzzles, learning new skills, and socializing. Mental stimulation may help preserve cognitive function and reduce the risk of Parkinson's disease.
4. **Get Quality Sleep**: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Poor sleep quality and sleep disorders have been associated with an increased risk of neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson's.
5. **Limit Toxins**: Avoid exposure to environmental toxins and pollutants whenever possible. Certain pesticides, herbicides, and industrial chemicals may be linked to an increased risk of Parkinson's disease.
6. **Manage Stress**: Practice stress-reduction techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, yoga, or spending time in nature. Chronic stress may contribute to inflammation and neurodegeneration.
7. **Stay Socially Connected**: Maintain strong social connections with friends, family, and community members. Social engagement and support have been linked to better cognitive function and overall well-being.
8. **Regular Health Check-ups**: Stay proactive about your health by scheduling regular check-ups with your healthcare provider. They can monitor your health, identify any potential risk factors, and provide guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
By incorporating these habits into your daily routine, you may be able to lower your risk of developing Parkinson's disease and promote overall brain health and well-being.
