These people are Bangladeshis - the name of their country was said like 100 times.

Their main problem is oweing $9000 each. That is not Sinkies' fault. The flight from Bangla can't possibly cost even one tenth that much, so I think they have been cheated by 'job agents' in Banglaland.

The local eLEEte employers (Ocean Marine Engineering in this case) must be punished for overdeducting these guys' salaries ($100 for rent in conditions akin to NS men's suffering). But as far as I can see, most of their problems come from their job agents who cheated them.

The presence of these FTs are already a big burden and suffering on Sinkies. I don't think most forummers have time or money or patience to accept any blame for these FTs plight.

As much as i hate seeing these workers infest our streets and MRTs, i have a lot of sympathy for them. It's not their fault. It's the fault of the government who does not regulate their contracts and working conditions. It's the fault of the slave traders and agents.

before we jump to any conclusion in this thread , it does not matter , if those are Bangladeshis , indian, angmo or PRC ? ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION : are you racist in the first place ?

let me ask you a simple question if your boss slap you in the face when you are working in oversea , what will you do ? how will you feel ?

do you not agree that some FTS do follow some singaporean or PRC bad habbit ? for example , many singaporean or PRC when using escalator do not care those behide them and start hoging the left and right side of the escalator ? do you think those PRC or singaporean are blocking those who are in a hurry ?

those kind of selfish act do not happen in japan although there are many FTS living in japan . the reason is simple , every japanese follow rules , so naturely those FTS will follow their culture and behavior .
